“Together Again”

Betty J Lippencott, 81, of Gnadenhutten, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

Born in Gnadenhutten on December 21, 1942, she was the daughter of the late James Daniel and Esther Leotta (Burdett) Garabrandt. On September 12, 1959, Betty married the love of her life, George E. Lippencott, Sr., and they shared nearly 56 years of marriage prior to his passing on July 8, 2015.

George and Betty liked to spend time together having fun at casinos and playing bingo. She was a gifted gardener and had a deep love for animals. Betty also enjoyed crocheting, and never missed a phone call with one of her children.

She will be deeply missed by her children, Michael Lippencott of Gnadenhutten, George Lippencott Jr. of Gnadenhutten, Tammy Lippencott of Gnadenhutten, Sheryl Walker of New Philadelphia, and Bevra (Dean) Cantrell of Newcomerstown; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters and one brother.

In addition to her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by her great-grandchild, Angel Lippencott; and her infant granddaughter; one sister and one brother.

In keeping with Betty’s wishes cremation care has been entrusted to Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory.
