The Ohio and Erie Canalway Coalition is inviting people outdoors this weekend to enjoy the fall along the towpath trail.
President Dan Rice says their annual bike, hike and brew event is Saturday beginning at 10 am from Canal Tavern in Zoar. Participants can go on a 6 or 12 mile hike or ride on the towpath and then enjoy a german oktoberfest lunch.
Rice says this serves as a fundraiser for the coalition.
Registration can still be done by phone today, Friday, October 10th at (330) 374-5657. It’s 40 dollars for adults, 10 dollars for kids 6 to 12, or it’s 50 dollars to register at the Saturday event.
