The Ohio and Erie Canalway Coalition is inviting outdoor enthusiasts and families to celebrate the fall season this weekend with its annual Bike, Hike and Brew event.
The event is set for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Canal Tavern of Zoar on Towpath Road in Bolivar. Participants can choose between a six- or 12-mile bicycle ride along the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail, or a one-and-a-half-mile hike on the Zoar Wetland Trail.
Afterward, guests can enjoy an Oktoberfest-style celebration featuring German food, live music and beer for those 21 and older.
Tickets are 40 dollars in advance, or 50 dollars the day of the event, if space is available. Children ages six to 12 are 10 dollars, and children five and under are free. Proceeds support development of the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail and connector trails in Tuscarawas County.
For more information or to purchase tickets, you can visit OhioErieCanal.org and look under the events tab.
