Gwen Rummell Reporting –

A new way to renew vehicle registration has come to the New Philadelphia area in the form of a self-service kiosk.

The BMV Express Kiosk is located inside the Discount Drug Mart on 2nd Street NW. Mayor Joel Day recognized the new addition in his Mayor’s Report on May 30th stating, “By using the kiosk, they claim it should cut the time to get an auto registration card and license validation stickers to under two minutes.”

After a transaction is made, a new vehicle registration card and license plate stickers will print. A 1.95% or $1.75 processing fee will be imposed when paying by credit or debit card. The kiosk cannot accept cash or checks.

Kiosks can also be found in South Zanesville and North Canton.
