Bonnie Dean Burkhart, 89, of Dover died March 17, 2024, at Park Village Health Care Center in Dover. She was born August 21, 1934, the daughter of Lloyd Hailey and Gladys Hailey Gearhart and was raised in Bolivar by Ernie and Mamie Dieringer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Burkhart on August 7, 2017, whom she married on June 1,1951. She was also preceded by a daughter, Cathy Burkhart; a granddaughter, Stacey Wallick; and two grandsons-in-law Ryan Peterman and Tod Herron.
She is survived by her sons Michael (Jo Anne) Burkhart and Thomas (Shelly) Burkhart all of Dover; seven grandchildren: Julie (Brad Kerekes) Mathias, Tressa (Greg) Moore, Thom Burkhart,
Zack (Lauren) Burkhart, La’Trell (Becca) DiChiara, Cory DiChiara and Destinee (Spencer) Blackwell; nine great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
According to Bonnie’s wishes there will be no calling hours or service. Cremation has taken place, and a private graveside service will be held in Ft. Laurens Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Lebold-Smith Funeral Home.
