Brian L. Everett, 63, of New Philadelphia, passed away on December 8, 2024, at home.
Born on April 14, 1961, to Sarah M. (Kilchenman) Everett of Bolivar and the late Lynn Earl Everett in Dennison, Brian was a proud graduate of Indian Valley North, class of 1979. His professional career spanned many years as a heavy equipment operator with Local Union 18, where he dedicated himself to “playing in the dirt” before retiring in 2023.
A man of many passions, Brian had a love for racing anything with fewer than four wheels, a hobby he shared with his children and grandchildren. In his retirement, he found joy in watching America’s Test Kitchen on television and delighting his family with his culinary skills, preparing delicious meals they would cherish.
Above all, Brian adored his family, and they returned that love tenfold. Known for his generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand, he touched the lives of many with his caring nature. He was also fond of his cats, who brought him comfort and companionship.
Brian was deeply loved and will be immensely missed by his family, including his wife, Stephanie L. (Adkins) Everett; his children, Suzy (Chris) Stephan of North Ridgeville, Derek (Brittany) Everett of Navarre, and Samantha (James) Adkins of New Philadelphia; his cherished grandchildren, Jackson Stephan, Emma and Addison Cuevas, and Steele Foster and Georgia Lynn Everett, who fondly called him “Papa.” He is also survived by his mother, Sarah Everett of Bolivar; siblings, Vi (Don) Leggett, Heidi (Randy) Sanders, Robin (Dave) Angel, and Shawna Everett; his parents-in-law, Tim and Barbara Adkins; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Fry’s Valley Moravian Church, beginning at 11:30 a.m., with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fry’s Valley Moravian Church, 594 Frys Valley Rd SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
