Uhrichsville Council is expected to hear a financial update about the W. 3rd Street Bridge, once they have a quorum.
The December 14th meeting did not move forward due to four council members present, but Amy Myers serving as President Pro Temp. This brought tension from administration since they said the meeting should have taken place because Myers is still on council and would have had a vote.
Thrasher Group Regional Manager Brad Olinger intends to update Uhrichsville Council about the financial status for the bridge rehabilitation, with the engineer’s estimate at over $1.9 million, for work to do a super-structure replacement and the roadway leading up to the bridge.
“Currently, the way we have it funded is its 95% grant to cover construction and that leaves just five-percent of the project to be paid with a local match.”
The city was award up to $1.4 million from the Municipal Bridge Program Grant and almost $234,000 in funding from OMEGA RTPO.
Uhrichsville’s current match would be roughly $197,000. Olinger is expected, once council has a meeting, to recommend an Ohio Department of Transportation SIB Loan, which would likely be 10 to 12 years at 3% interest. The city has applied for an OPWC grant but it’s not guaranteed.
Council’s next scheduled meeting is Thursday, December 28th, the last one under the current administration.
