Buckeye Career Center students will start heading back to school, with some schools starting today.

Buckeye will have staggered start times depending on home schools, but all students will be together by Thursday, August 24th.

Superintendent Bob Alsept says they have three new hires including a safety director.

“We now have a Director of Safety and Security, Mr. Bob Everett. We also have a new graphic arts instructor, Mr. Jeremiah Fierbaugh, and then we have a new instructor at the New Philadelphia construction satellite, Mr. Jeffery Myers.”

Alsept adds that Buckeye Career Center will expand to include EMS, Fire, and CPR education, as well as, dental assisting in fall 2024.

Buckeye will see its highest amount of students this year, with an expected 1,000 students attending.
