Buckeye Career Center students are finished building their latest house, and it’s up for auction Tuesday.
The 2025 Buckeye House is a custom-built brick ranch home at the end of a cul-de-sac on Corral Drive Northeast a block away from the vocational school in New Philadelphia.
Buckeye Marketing Coordinator Shyanne Carroll says six labs from Buckeye Career Center helped with construction including masonry, construction, energy operations, and HVAC.
Electrical system students do the wiring and install fixtures, and landscaping students put on the finishing touches. Carroll says they usually get a handful of serious bidders and a crowd of people to watch.
Carroll says Buckeye students have now built about 40 houses. The latest Buckeye House will be sold at auction on Tuesday at 6 p.m. The address is 560 Corral Drive Northeast in New Philadelphia. Auction terms and details are on the Barnett Realtor website.
