A pancake breakfast will honor the memory of Shannon Wigfield and raise scholarship funds.
The Buckeye Career Center Foundation is hosting the event this Saturday.
School counselor and event co-organize Jenny Robinson says the goal is to provide a $2,500 scholarship to a senior.
“Buckeye Foundation gives out scholarships to Buckeye students who are heading on to college or out to the work environment to be able to use the money for work clothes, tools, anything they might need.”
It’s going to be a full breakfast for those with tickets.
“Pancake, sausage, juice, milk, Starbucks is going to be there. Huge basket auction, face painting for the kids, we’re going to do three door prizes at 8:30, 9:30, and 10:30, so lots of stuff.”
Tickets are $10.
“We have a Facebook page, so if you contact the Facebook page they will absolutely hold tickets at the door, we can meet them after school for tickets, we are very accommodating. Call in to Buckeye [330-339-2288], you can ask for either one of us and we’ll go ahead and put tickets back. We’ve been doing that.”
The event will be at BCC, from 7 to 10:30am.
