Carol Lee Mounts, 70, of Newcomerstown, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022, at Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia. She was born April 23, 1951 in Tuscarawas County to the late James and Gladys Jean (Brandon) Phillips.
Carol had worked as a nurse’s aide and housekeeper for several nursing homes and was last employed at Cambridge Health and Rehab. She loved flowers and enjoyed long car rides.
Carol married Wayne Mounts who passed away in November of 1995. Carol is survived by her son, Bret A. Mounts; her sisters, Debbie Smith, Connie (Ed) Chilensky, Phyllis (Henry) Young, and Penny L. Phillips all of Newcomerstown; her brother, Robert A. (Wanda) Phillips of New Philadelphia. She was preceded in death by her brother, James R. Phillips.
Carol’s request was to be cremated. Burial of cremains will take place at West Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
