Carole Jane Cenci (Endres), 79, of Dover, passed away in the Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia following a brief illness. Carole was preceded in death by the love of her life, her “darling” Tony, and she was reunited with him, in heaven, on July 19, 2022 – their 48th wedding anniversary.

Born November 23, 1942, Carole was a 1960 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Dover. Following graduation, she worked at the family business, Endres Floral Company, for more than 30 years before joining the State of Ohio Data Center in New Philadelphia, and then retiring as a Deputy Clerk from the New Philadelphia Municipal Courthouse in 2015.

But, Carole was someone who did not live to work, but rather she worked her entire life to ensure she could live life to the fullest each day, and that’s exactly what she did. Whether it was traveling with Tony to Notre Dame to cheer on the Irish, riding roller coasters with her great-niece at Disney World, planning cross-stitch or quilting trips with her friends, or volunteering at her great-niece’s school to help with the holiday parties – nothing could slow her down. And, only a few short weeks ago she was walking four miles at a quilting conference in Pigeon Forge, TN, and enjoying summer in Chincoteague, VA with her family and friends.

Carole met her one true love, Tony, while they were working at Endres Floral Company. They were married in 1974 and spent their lives traveling, laughing with friends, hunting collectibles, hosting family for holidays, and being loving “second parents” to so many of their nieces and nephews. Tony was Carole’s best friend and Carole was Tony’s rock, and with Carole’s passing her family finds solace in knowing the two are finally together, again.

Although family meant everything to Carole, her friends brought her tremendous strength and positivity, especially after Tony passed away. She loved each of them and looked forward to every outing she had planned – whether it was a quilting retreat in Berlin, OH, heading to the Plaid Sheep, or planning a recent trip to Tennessee with her “cross stitch ladies,” she excitedly counted down the days to each adventure. Her family cannot thank all of her cross stitch and quilting friends enough for loving and supporting Carole throughout the years.

Carole is survived by her sister, Barbara “Susie” Lang of Dover; brothers, Tom Endres of Port St. Lucie, FL and Ted Endres of New Philadelphia; sisters-in-law Chris (Don) Levy of Louisville, OH, and Elsie Cenci of New Philadelphia; brother-in-law Tom Bearaducci of Dover; nieces, Amanda Endres of Port Saint Lucie, Melissa (Sean) Felton of Chicago, IL, Elizabeth (Cameron) Krahel and Erin Endres of New Philadelphia; nephews, Michael (Michelle) Bearaducci of Rocky River, OH, Tom (Caroline) Endres of New Philadelphia, Jason (Marcelle) Endres of Port Saint Lucie, and Seth Endres of New Philadelphia; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents Eugene V. Endres and Jane L. (Slasor) Endres; brothers, Fred and Richard Endres; brother-in-law, Bob Lang; sisters-in-law, Cindy Endres, Eva Cenci, Norma Cenci, and Martha Bearaducci; and nephew, Patrick Bearaducci.
