Cathlyn “Cathy” Ann Murphy Fuller, 73, of Strasburg formerly of Gnadenhutten shed the shackles of Alzheimer’s disease early Monday morning of January 6, 2025, and joined God’s heavenly choir of angels.  

Cathy was born March 29, 1951, in Dover to the late John and Betty Crahan.  After graduating from Indian Valley South in 1969, she worked for a short time as a phlebotomist at Twin City Hospital, the secretary for the Gnadenhutten United Methodist Church and as a teller for the Indian Village Community Bank. Cathy was a member of the Methodist Church, and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading, doing crossword puzzles and traveling. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, band parent, and fireworks volunteer, she gave her all for whatever needed to be done.  

Surviving are husband of thirteen years, Robert “Bob” Fuller, whom she married on May 27, 2011, children and step-children: Christopher Murphy (companion Trudy Hess) of Marietta, Elizabeth (Jason) Quillin of Port Washington, Amanda Fuller (husband Justin Mog) of Louisville, KY, and Kathryn Fuller of Troy; grandchildren: Parker Quillin and Daniel Fuller; siblings: Martin (Therese) Crahan of Seattle, Casey (Ruby) Crahan of Virginia, and Kerry (Ed) Eckhardt of Strasburg; sister-in-law Brenda (Lynn) Davidson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Cathy was preceded in death by her first husband William E. Murphy, brother Jon Christopher Crahan.

A funeral service will be held for Cathy on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 11: at the Gnadenhutten United Methodist Church, 220 N Walnut Street, Gnadenhutten, Ohio 44629 with Pastor Leeann Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow in the Gnadenhutten-Clay Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Koch Funeral Home of Gnadenhutten, 244 N Walnut Street, 44629, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Indian Valley Foundation, attn Bob and Cathy Murphy Fuller Music Scholarship fund, PO Box 171, Gnadenhutten, OH 44629.

Throughout this journey with Cathy, we are mindful of those words so often said by her “Everything will be all right”.
