Cathy Herron, 65, of Newcomerstown, passed away on May 14, 2022, in New Philadelphia, OH. Cathy was born on July 6, 1956, in Washington, IN, to the late Isaac Salmon and Catherine “Kate” (Rodrick) Salmon. Professionally, she chose occupations where her caring and nurturing spirit could flourish both as a Home Health Aide and daycare provider for many years in Newcomerstown. Cathy was a member of the Moose, Elks, and American Legion, where she gained many close friends. She loved gardening and lawn care, and above all, her family, especially the babies who were her pride and joy.
Cathy is survived by her children, Roy (Jaime) Salmon of Fresno, Carla Hart of New Philadelphia, and Amber Hart (Josh Conley) of Newcomerstown; grandchildren, Branden, Emily, Anna, Avory, William, Dylan (of the home), and Allyn; five great-grandchildren; sister, Joy Salmon (Bernie Frazier) of Newcomerstown; brother, Cody (Nancy) Salmon of Shoals, IN; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Cathy was preceded in death by her brother, Tommie Ray Salmon, and her late husband, Robert Herron.
The family is planning a celebration of Cathy’s life to be held at a later date.
