Cathy Lynn Howell – July 14, 2026

Cathy Lynn Howell, 67, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, passed away at her home with her beloved sons at her side on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, following a lengthy illness. Born January 24, 1959 in Dennison, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Raymond Lewis and Thelma Irene (née Hodkinson) Mahaffey.

Cathy was a loving mother and grandmother whose whole world revolved around her family, and she will be remembered for her deep and abiding devotion to her family. She enjoyed collecting angels, Native American keepsakes and decorations, and had a deep fondness for wolves. Cathy also loved butterflies.

She will be sadly missed by her surviving family which includes her sons, Jason (Connie) Howell, Jeff Howell, and Adam Howell; many grandchildren, including Gabriella Howell; siblings, Randy Mahaffey, Dannie Smith, Betty Meek, and Jim Mahaffey; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved canine companion Chi Chi.

In keeping with Cathy’s wishes, cremation is planned without a public visitation or service. Her family will celebrate her life privately.
