Mary Alice Reporting –

A vacant building is a loss after a fire broke out Sunday night.

Units were called at around 10:40pm for a structure fire on River Street and units observed flames upon arrival.

Dover Fire Department Lt. J.R. Dennison says the building was located in a fenced in lot.

“It’s some sort of a business. It used to be Cyclone Oilfield Supply. There are several buildings on the property, and this was just a vacant building that was on fire. It was not rented and there was nothing inside the building.”

The building is a total loss, and an investigation is on-going to determine a possible cause.

A first alarm was called bring in neighboring fire departments. No injuries were reported.
