Change was announced following the Friday’s final Women’s Success Series featuring speaker Dr. Michelle Levitt.

Levitt talked about redefining success since it’s a personal journey that cannot be compared to another.

“Realizations I’ve come to over time, and this realization, that happened later in life, success is not about achievements, accolades, accomplishments, or a stain in your past, it’s knowing you already are. Success isn’t about having it all. It’s about realizing and knowing what really matters. Growing up, even though we didn’t have material things, we did have what really mattered. We had unconditional love; we had a mom who furiously loved us and sacrificed everything for us.”

Following Levitt’s presentation, board member Wendy Zucal announced a change for the series that was established in 2012. The event will be held in Founder’s Hall Auditorium at Kent State Tuscarawas and will be once per year featuring a local or regional woman speaker.

“The first one will be June 26 of 2026 and our very first speaker will be Dr. Vicki Maple-King, the executive director of the Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association.”

Friday’s event also recognized 40 Leading Ladies of Tuscarawas County.
