Personnel changes have been approved for the New Philadelphia City School District.

The Board of Education held a special meeting Friday and voted on switches to the administrative team at Welty Middle and at the high school.

The changes were needed before the 2023-24 school year due to resignations as some head to another district and some go to new positions in New Philadelphia schools, says Superintendent Amy Wentworth.

“Ryan Range as our high school principal, Josh Jarvis as our high school assistant principal, Ricky Neff to move to Welty Middle school principal, and Rebekka Houze to move to the Welty Middle school assistant principal.”

Member Chris Weaver notes how important it is that these individuals are committed to New Philadelphia.

“They’re big job but having people that have been here and understand the culture and the community gives you a good head start and then to supplement that with folks outside that have talents and skills to balance that out. I’m excited about where we’re headed.”

The Board approved the staffing recommendations unanimously.
