Nick McWilliams reporting – The Tuscarawas County Prosecutor’s Office and Prosecutor Ryan Styer formally filed charges against three Uhrichsville men accused of the shooting death of John Bashline II.

The man who is alleged to have fired the round that killed Bashline, 36-year-old Dale Sanders, is facing involuntary manslaughter, using weapons while intoxicated, reckless homicide, tampering with evidence, and gross abuse of a corpse charges.

Additionally, firearm specifications apply to the manslaughter and homicide charges, which carry mandatory three-year prison terms.

As for the other two involved, 37-year-old Michael Reynolds and 26-year-old Dominic Reynolds, each facing one count of tampering with evidence and gross abuse of a corpse.

It is alleged that a mixture of alcohol consumption and improper firearms handling led to the death, with Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office Detective Lieutenant Adam Fisher stating that it appears Sanders was handling the gun when it discharged, killing Bashline.

The 37-year old was eventually found on McKee Road, just behind Trinity Twin City Medical Center, in the backseat of his car. The incident is alleged to have occurred at a home on Feed Springs Road.

Video footage provided by businesses and residents eventually led to the naming of the three suspects.

All three defenders made initial video appearances in Southern District of Tuscarawas County Court on Tuesday, with bond set at $110,000 for Sanders.
