Charles “Bob” Yonley, age 94, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Park Village Health Care Center in Dover, following a brief illness. 

He was born on May 28, 1928, in Bellaire, OH, to the late John Wiley and Edna (Elliot) Yonley.  Charles is also preceded in death by his siblings John and Anna Gold, Harry and Blanche Yonley, Harold and Judy Yonley, Barbara and Morris (Ike) Rosenberry, and Ruth and Gene Patrick.

Charles graduated from Dennison School in 1947.  He then served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1955. He was employed at ConRail as a bridge inspector for 47 years.  Charles enjoyed John Deere, trains, mowing the grass, England and the Royal family, his favorite pet Kitty, national parks and weekly grocery outing with Natasha, who he had a special bond with.

Charles is survived by his sons Robert P. Yonley of Tuscarawas and Brian K. Yonley of Columbus; his grandchildren Natasha N. Yonley, Robert P. Yonley II, and Matthew N. Yonley; former wife Deloris P. Yonley; former daughter-in-law Anna C. (Gephart) Yonley and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Charles will be held at 1 p.m., on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc., in Uhrichsville, OH, with the Pastor Brett Warkentine officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens in Dover, OH,  with the New Philadelphia VFW conducting military graveside services.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 on Monday, October 3, 2022, at the funeral home.
