Charles E. “Chuck” Arter Jr., 77, passed away on July 28, 2024, at his home in Strasburg, Ohio following an extended illness.

He was born on July 30, 1946, in Barberton, Ohio, to Charles E. Arter Sr. and Doris Grandon.

Chuck led a remarkable life filled with various accomplishments and contributions. He graduated from Strasburg High School as part of the class of 1964, marking the beginning of a journey marked by hard work and dedication. He worked for the Times Reporter and eventually retired from Lexas in Dublin in 2009.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Chuck found joy in farm life and nurtured a deep passion for playing the accordion. Renowned for both his skills as a musician and his role as a teacher, Chuck’s talent left a lasting impact on those around him. His commitment to music was truly inspiring, and he will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of hearing him play.

Chuck leaves behind his longtime companion, Liana McCoy of Strasburg; his brother-in-law, Al Conner;  along with his beloved K-9 companions, Ronan, River, and Brutus.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cindy Conner.
