Gwen Rummell Reporting –
The Dover Public Library hosts two on-going clubs, the Chess Club and the Cubers Club.
The two clubs were formed to provide an opportunity for people of all ages to learn about or improve their skills.
The Chess Club meets every Tuesday at 4pm in the boardroom. Attendees can learn how to play with the guidance of Bill Houglan. He and other members of the club invite anyone who is interested to consider attending.
No registration is required, but participants are asked to bring their own chess boards.
The Cubers Club meets the first Thursday of every month at 6pm in the boardroom as well. The club is meant for those who want to hone their Rubik’s Cube skills by practicing with fellow enthusiasts. Andy Basnett is available to give tips and strategies on improving solve times.
The Cubers Club does not require registration.
To learn more about the clubs, call the Dover Public Library at 330-343-6123.
