Christine Lynn “Chris” Armstrong, 61, of Stillwater, passed on August 24, 2024, at Truman Hospice House in New Philadelphia following a brief illness. Born in Dennison on July 11, 1963, she was the daughter of the late Terry Eugene Cady and Betty Lou (Brown) Cady, who survives her.
Chris graduated from Claymont in 1981 and worked for Tatman’s Feed Store. She loved spending time with her 17 grandbabies and especially loved to watch them play various sports. She was an avid Cleveland Indians, a die-hard Dallas Cowboy, and Cleveland Browns fan. She enjoyed being outdoor and took pride in her well-maintained yard. She also enjoyed watching the cardinals at her numerous bird feeders. Spending time at the beach with family and “traveling” to the casinos with her dear friend Mandy Jones were other things she enjoyed doing as often as she could. Chris was affiliated with the Pleasant Grove Church in Stillwater.
On November 10, 1994, she married William “Bill” Armstrong, the love of her life, who preceded her in death on October 21, 2021. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children, Jess (Josh) Riggs, Jeremy (Ashley) Ackerman, Jaymie (Ron Dague) Gardner, Julie (Nate) Downing, Janea (Ronnie Williams) Armstrong, Jessica (Todd) Dean, and Jennifer (Will) Bales. She is also survived by 17 grandbabies; Cadyn, Brextyn, Linkyn, Rileigh, Rylan, Carsen, Jase, Easton, Jaylyn, Caydee, Carter, Cora, Larson, Arianna, Ariston, Axton, and Aliza; her siblings, Karen (Chuck) Kinsey, Mike (Lori) Cady, and Diann (Andy Page) Martin; numerous nieces and nephews; and close family friends Loretta and JC Pinchek.
