Gwen Rummell Reporting –
The Tuscarawas County Senior Center will hold a month-long Chronic Condition Management Program.
The purpose behind the sessions is to support seniors with chronic conditions. The program will be 12:00 to 1:30 every Monday and Wednesday from July 5th to July 31st.
Marley Miller, Tuscarawas County Senior Center’s Clinical Supervisor, says the program welcomes seniors ages 50 and older to attend. Caregivers are also invited to attend, but the program aims to inform seniors about their options.
“The goal of the program is to assist with gathering resources, connecting with behavioral health specialists, and making community referrals to help build referral networks.”
The program will include guest speakers, live demonstrations, and open discussions about pain and stress management, healthy sleep habits, and having an overall healthy and balanced life.
To register for the program, contact Marley Miller at 330-364-6611 by July 4th.
