Cindy Lou Armstrong, 68, of Dennison, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Medical Center in Canton, following a lengthy illness. Born September 24, 1955, in Dover, she was a daughter of the late William James McCamant, II and Elsie Loraine (Reeves) McCamant.
She leaves behind her son, Franklin Eugene Lawrence; sisters, Linda Swigert, Martha Stackhouse, and Ruth (Jeff) Swaney; brothers, William (Ruby) McCamant, III and David (Becky) McCamant; and numerous nieces and nephews, including her niece, Tonya Grijalva Hernandez who was also her devoted caregiver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Alberta Poole.
Cindy was the longtime bartender at the Hi-Lo Club in New Philadelphia and had worked at Baxter’s Gas Station in Sherrodsville for a number of years. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting and doing needlepoint. She was Presbyterian by faith.
Pastor Joe Pena, Jr. will officiate her funeral at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 9, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow at New Cumberland Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
