The Tuscarawas Valley Civil War Round Table will hear from a presenter about a man who was a Civil War General, U.S. President, and Ohio native.

The meeting will occur on Thursday, May 30th at 6:30 pm in the Community Room at the Dover Public Library. Dr. Curt Fields, the featured presenter, has portrayed General and President Ulysses S. Grant in 22 states.

He also spoke at the 150th Sesquicentennial observations of the Battles of Fort Donelson, Shiloh, Vicksburg, and Lee’s surrender at Appomattox Court House, VA.

Dr. Fields’ presentations are in first-person and touch on General Grant’s memoirs, letters, and first-person accounts.

The program is free and open to anyone who wishes to attend. The mission of the Tuscarawas Valley Civil War Round Table is to educate the community about the Civil War and preserve its heritage.
