Claire Milyiori, age 77, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, March 2, 2023, in Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital after struggling with complications from Covid.
Born December 4, 1945, in Dover, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Walter and June (Casebeer) Watson
She was a 1964 graduate of New Philadelphia High School. She loved crafting and spending time with her family. She was especially fond of her dog Sammy. When not caring for her family, she enjoyed volunteering with the Historical Society.
Claire will be deeply missed by her husband, Carl Milyiori whom she married on May 6, 1972; her daughters, Tina Milyiori of Chandler, Arizona and Lisa Milyiori (fiancé Dan Franklin) of Chandler, Arizona; granddaughters, Brooklyn and Lorelai Milyiori; siblings, Jeff (Bonnie) Watson, Jayne (Bill) Swinderman, Kent (Susan) Watson and Kerby (Julie) Watson; step-mother, Freda Watson; step-brother, Jeff Wern; step-sister Amy Moore; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother Mark Watson.
Family will greet guests on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, from 10:00 to 11:00AM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory in New Philadelphia. A service honoring Claire’s life will follow at 11:00am in the funeral home. Burial will follow at East Ave. Cemetery in New Philadelphia.
