Mary Alice Reporting –
Bussing and other transportation concerns continue in local school districts, including at Claymont.
An update was provided during this week’s Board of Education meeting as a Transportation Committee has been meeting to discuss the issue.
The need for bus drivers was a main topic, among others, noted committee chair Lois Grandison.
“We’re going to look at double busing, extending our walking routes, and we’re going to look at some other schools districts [and what they’re doing.]”
School transportation shortage have been seen across the state for the past two plus years.
Not only are regular drivers need but substitutes too.
