Cleanup was continuing Tuesday morning from a messy crash in Sandy Township.

Mineral city fire Chief Sam Moore says it happened around 11 am Monday when two commercial vehicles collided at the intersection of State Route 800 and Dover Zoar Road, spilling oil and diesel fuel into the creek there.

A hazmat team from mineral city and Dover used pads and booms to contain the spill before turning the scene over to the Ohio EPA for further remediation.

The highway patrol says no one was injured in the crash that occurred when a dump truck attempted to pass a scale truck as it was making a left-hand turn. The EPA was bringing in a contractor to finish the cleanup.
