Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital’s vice president and chief medical officer Dr. Thomas Rogers is leaving to take the same position at Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital starting July 1st.
The hospital is conducting an internal search for the top leadership role at Union Hospital. Rogers says family and the opportunity to lead another local hospital led to the move north.
Rogers has led Union Hospital for three years, starting in 2022 after his retirement from active military service as a colonel in the U.S. Army. He had been the director of Army-operated health clinics in Washington, D.C., as part of his 29-year military career. He says Union Hospital helped him make an easy transition into the private sector.
