Tuscarawas County Health Department officials say early signs of flu and cold season are starting to emerge locally.

Community relations director Jennifer Demuth says very low levels of flu and RSV viruses were detected last week for the first time this fall in wastewater samples, which can serve as a good indicator of virus activity in our region. Demuth says it is becoming that time of year.

Demuth says covid 19 levels reported in dover’s wastewater samples have remained moderate and steady so far this season.
