She served on the New Philadelphia City Board of Health and the board of the Society for Equal Access. Additionally, Connie was active with school activities at New Philadelphia Central Elementary when her sons were young. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who especially enjoyed watching her sons, and then her grandsons, play baseball. Connie also liked to read, and she liked to travel, particularly to Las Vegas and the resort city of Cancun in Mexico.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, Rick Miller, whom she married on July 24, 1971; her sons, Zack (Lori Daniels) Miller of Dover, and Kyle Miller of New Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Zachary, Dylan, and Rayna Miller; her brothers and sisters, Tony (Sharon), Mike (Moe) and Tom Basiewicz, Nell White and Lucia (Pat) Wellington; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rod and Amy Miller; her former daughter-in-law, Jenny Miller; and her many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her sisters and brother, Judy Wassem, Theresa “Terry” Stephan, and Steve Basiewicz.
