Getting almost 700 more votes was Lisa Contini for the position of Tuscarawas County Auditor.
She was running against Brett Hillyer for the republican nomination.
With the primary win Contini says she’s still processing the win but looking forward to campaign by participating in parades over the summer months.
“I’m just excited and I’m ready to move forward, continue learning from Larry before he retires, and learn everything I can in the next few months so that I can help out and educate the residents of the county and do what’s best for them.”
She is currently the chief deputy auditor and has a background in municipal audits, as a fiscal officer, and statewide connections.
Contini’s opponent in November’s general election will be Joe Rinehart.
