Dover officials are saying goodbye to two longtime contributors when it comes to city government.

This week’s city council meeting was the last one for at-large members John Correll and Julie Leggett.

Corell has been on council 10 years but lost his bid for re-election last month. Leggett – who opted not to run again – was appointed to council in 2023 after serving about 15 years as council clerk.

Mayor Shane Gunnoe is requesting council resolutions honoring, commending, and thanking Leggett and Correll for their years of dedicated service to the city of dover.

Greg Bair and Zachary Wallick will take their places on dover city council next month.
