Nick McWilliams reporting – An early-morning accident Sunday morning claimed the life of a Coshocton juvenile.
The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched at 3 a.m. to Crawford Township at the intersection of State Route 651 and Township Road 231.
Deputies and emergency personnel determined that two juveniles were southbound on the township road when they failed to negotiate a curve, going off the right side of the pavement and striking a tree.
Both were ejected from the vehicle, with one transported to Altman Hospital and later released.
The second juvenile was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation, with the Baltic Fire Department and Coshocton County EMS assisting.
