Tuscarawas county health department officials are inviting people to swing by their parking lot Thursday to pick up a couple of home COVID test kits.
Community relations director Jennifer Demuth says the drive-up distribution event is from 4 to 6 pm at the department on east Iron Avenue. She says this comes as there were 102 cases reported for the county two weeks ago and 92 last week, which are the highest numbers since January.
Demuth says this can help people with symptoms know if they’re suffering from just allergies or COVID.
Demuth says these kits don’t expire until March, so you can also hold on to them to use ahead of any holiday gatherings later in the year.
