Craig Pugh, 58, of Newcomerstown, died Friday, August 27, 2021, at Community Hospice Truman House following a three year battle with cancer. He was born May 11, 1963, in Columbus to the late Margaret Pugh and Glenn Baker. He was a 1981 graduate of Newcomerstown High School.

On April 16, 1983, he married Holly Richardson, and they went on to enjoy 38 years of marriage together. Craig worked at H3D Tooling as a machinist for 34 years. He loved his family unconditionally. He never missed a ball game, dance recital, or any event they were in. He was known for always sitting in the outfield cheering on his daughters on the softball field. He enjoyed working in his garage, taking road trips in his jeep with his wife, and watching his grandson play football.

Craig was happiest when he was helping others, whether it was helping someone stranded, helping his neighbors, or helping his friends fix their cars in his garage. He carried this forward by donating his organs to the James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, in an effort to help others live.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Lacey Arnaud of Rockport, TX and Devony Pugh (Fiance Justin Morgan) of Newcomerstown; grandsons, Cadyne Lynch and Grayson Arnaud; brother, Glenn Pugh of Newcomerstown; niece, Ashley (Kevin) Jacque; great-niece, Margaret Jacque; furry sidekick, his dog, Taurus. Craig was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Glenna Richardson.

The family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. Sameek Roychowdhury and Michelle Wing, at the James who gave their heart and soul to give Craig every day of life possible, and to the wonderful, caring staff of the Truman House.
