Olivia Fosson, who won the Miss Clayland crown back in September at Claymont High School, won the Miss Ohio Scholarship Program this past weekend in Mansfield and will compete for the Miss America title in Orlando in September.
Miss Clayland Director Martha Campbell says Fosson’s win is another jewel in the crown of the longest running local scholarship program of its kind in Ohio.
“We were just so excited. So thrilled for her. We know she’s worked really hard to reach this goal of hers. We felt pretty excited during the finals night because in the top five, three of the top five were recent Miss Clayland’s. So Olivia and then also Brittney Putman who was last year’s Miss Clayland, and then Caitlin Seifert who was Miss Clayland before. I think it speaks volumes about what we’re able to do in our community.”
For Fosson, she’s a juris doctorate student at the Ohio State University Morris College of Law and is completing an internship in Texas.
The Miss Clayland 2026 Scholarship Program is also in September, so Campbell will be busy
that month as she prepares to crown the next Miss Clayland and follow the new Miss Ohio to the Miss America contest.
