Cynthia P. “Cindi” Hawk, 73, of New Philadelphia, died Sunday, June 26, 2022.
Born in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Betty (Mathias) Michelli and a 1966 graduate of Dover High School. Always one to stay busy, Cindi could almost always be found working around her home painting, gardening, or doing yard work. She enjoyed both knitting and crocheting afghans for her family and friends, spending time with her grandchildren, and getting together with a group of her high school classmates for dinner on a monthly basis.
On March 6, 1976, Cindi married Russell D. “Russ” Hawk, and together they shared 26 years of marriage before his passing in December 2002. Surviving is her son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Megan Hawk of New Philadelphia, and her daughter and future son-in-law, Tiffany Hawk and James Mullet of Sugarcreek; her six grandchildren, Chasity, Aiden, Owen, and Noah Hawk, and Bentley and Lincoln Mullet; her beloved cat, Snickers; her best friend of 34 years, Cherie Wetzel and her sister, Melanie Fontana.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia and the family will have a memorial dinner that will be held at a later date.
