She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who leaves behind a family who – even while they miss her deeply – celebrate her going home to be with her Lord and all her loved ones who had gone before.

On December 18, 1945, Darlene married Melvin Paul Haugh with whom she shared 75 years of loving marriage prior to his passing on September 22, 2021. They are survived by 4 children, Kandace (Stephen) Smith, M. Victor (Susan) Haugh, April (Joseph) Berni, and Amy (Roger) Metzger; 9 grandchildren, Eric (Sarah) Smith, Paul Smith, Angie (Kevin) Cooper, Duke (Danielle) Haugh, Kate (Dan) Junge, Tony (Robyn) Berni, Anne (Alain) Marec, Joey (Courtney) Berni, and Kayla Metzger; and 21 great-grandchildren. Darlene is also survived by her brother, Ronald Williams, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Anne Huffman, and brother, Dean Williams.

Rev. Tim Ginter and Pastor Mike Travis will officiate her funeral at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 11, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow beside her beloved husband in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery.
