David Carl Craigo passed away suddenly on February 22, 2022, at his home. Affectionately known as “Hunch”, Dave was born July 13, 1950, in his lifelong home of Newcomerstown, son of the late Denver C. and Pearl (Reidenbach) Craigo.
He graduated from Newcomerstown High School with the class of 1968 and was known for his love of cars and sports, especially baseball. He made friends easily and was well known in the area.
After graduation, Dave worked at Heller Tool. He served in the US Army from 1968 to 1972 and spent time serving in a Tank Command located in Germany. Dave then returned to Heller. He later purchased and operated Craigo’s Citgo Gas Station until his passing. His business gave him years of pleasure meeting the public, serving old friends, as well as making new ones.
He is survived by his daughter, Leslie (Clark) Smith, and two grandchildren, Lexie and Logan Smith, all of Ocala, FL; his sister, Rhea Lou (Dave) Harvey of Crystal Lake, IL along with their children Chad, Sue, and Erin.
