David G. Hahn, age 77,  a lifetime Sherrodsville resident, went home to be with his Lord Friday night, March 7, 2025 in the Cleveland Clinic Mercy Medical Center at Canton after a long illness. 

David was born June 29, 1947 in Dennison, Ohio to the late George J. and Uldine S. (Stratton) Hahn.  David graduated from Conotton Valley High School in 1965. He was owner and proprietor of the former Hahn Motors Body Shop, originally opened in Sherrodsville, and eventually moving to New Philadelphia where he and his wife Tamara worked together for over 50 years.   He also served in the Army Reserve for six years.

He is survived by his loving wife Tamara (Pittman) Hahn, whom he married March 7, 1998,  a sister and brother-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Raymond (Diana) Ruoff of Dellroy, OH.  He also leaves behind his step-children Bobby Muller and Dawn (Robert) Horst, his brother-in-law  Jay (Linda) Pittman, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, four nieces and nephews, his uncle Robert Stratton and close- to-his-heart cousins Kathy (Matt) Jordan and Thomas (Tawyna) Williams and their families.

David had many special close friends in his life, including Bob Hensley, who was like a son to him, and Ray Ripley, who was as close as a family member.

David enjoyed fishing, boating and enthusiastically attended Jamboree in the Hills for 20 years and acquired many good friends and fun memories. He was also an avid country music fan.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 12, 2025 in the Sherrodsville Calvary Church, address listed below, with Pastor Kenneth Ogg officiating.  Calling hours will be observed from 1:00 P.M. until time of services in the church. Interment will follow in the Sherrodsville Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions in David’s memory may be made to the Sherrodsville Calvary Church, where he was a long time member, 338 South Church Street, (P.O.
