David Lee Bradford, 73, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare Truman House in New Philadelphia. Born January 29, 1951 in Coshocton, Ohio, he was the last surviving son of the late Albert Henry and Lottie Irene (Renner) Bradford, having been preceded in death by his brothers, Johnny, Albert E. “Jack”, and Richard “Dick” Bradford, as well as his sister, Edie Norman, and a brother-in-law, Carl “Pete” Hays Smith.

After attending Ridgewood High School, David also attended Buckeye Career Center, Nashville State Community College, and Drive Train to further his education. He was a truck driver for many years for a number of companies, including Navajo, Frontier, and BCB. He loved doing scrapping, and in his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, camping, and mowing. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family who will treasure many memories of happy times with David at large family dinners and bonfires.

On April 19, 2010, David married Melodie J. (Smith) Griest who survives him at their home. He is also survived by five children, David (Alicia) McKibbin, Mitchell McKibbin, Anne (Jesse) Cooper, Jessica (Jimmy) Bates, and Chylene (Jacob) Jones; ten grandchildren; four sisters, Connie Opphile, Dorothy Grossenbaugh, Bonnie Wakely, and Peggy Parish; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Holly and Gary Henry, Daniel and Pam Smith, and Jolene and Mike Baughman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

According to David’s wishes, he will be cremated. His family plan to have a celebration of his life on a future date, and this website will be updated when details are confirmed. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions honoring his memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
