David Warren Parrish, 77, of Coshocton died early Thursday, March 14, 2024, at the Morrison House of Genesis Hospice Care.

He was born at Twin City Hospital in Dennison, Ohio on July 29, 1946, to the late Warren and Mary Sue (Wright) Parrish. He graduated from Dover High School in 1964 and then served his country in the United States Air Force for twelve years. Following his service in the Air Force, David worked at a few different places before becoming an independent truck driver for various companies. David enjoyed camping, fishing, and relaxing on the couch when he wasn’t on the road. In his younger years, he spent time as a race car driver in Colorado Springs at Pike’s Peak Speedway.

Surviving are David’s three children: Douglas (Elaine) Parrish of Waterville, Lori Parrish of Coshocton, and Lisa (Scott) Ickes of West Lafayette; five grandchildren: Emma Parrish, Fiona Parrish, Pablo Velasco, Alex Velasco, and Adam Chahid; and a sister Susan (Laurence) Melnick of Evanston, IL.

Along with his parents, David is preceded in death by a son Jamie Parrish and a sister Joan Yvonne Parrish.

In keeping with David’s wishes, he will be cremated, and no services are planned at this time.
