Deborah R. (Harper) Postel, 65, of Lock 17 died unexpectedly on Thursday night February 3, 2022, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville following a brief illness.

Deb was born on August 20, 1956, in Dover to the late Shirley (Schoonover) Snively and Harry R. Harper. She attended Indian Valley South. Deb worked for Graphic Packaging for around eight years before becoming a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, loved spending time with her grandchildren, and went camping at Tappan Lake.

Surviving are Deb’s husband of twenty years, Todd Postel, whom she married on April 21, 2001; her children: Walter Timothy Glauser II, Stacey Rose (Sean Snavely), Melissa (Josh) Dewey, Timothy Postel, Mike (Mandy) Postel, and Keith Postel; fourteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; her siblings: Sharon Hurst of Alabama, Rebecca Baker and Bonnie Snively both of Newcomerstown, and Mike Harper of Uhrichsville, James Schuffler of Texas, Cindy Hickman of Bolivar, Ray (Jeanette) Harper of Dover, and Joseph (Judy) Harper of Bolivar; several nieces and nephews and her pets Zena, Sophia, and Booboo.

Preceding in death is only her mother and father.  

A graveside service will be held for Deb at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at West Union Cemetery in Gilmore with Pastor Paul Harvey officiating. Koch Funeral Home of Gnadenhutten is entrusted with the arrangements.
