Della Marjorie Ann (Mathias) Flickinger, 86, of Dover, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022, at Country Club Retirement Center in Dover.
Born on September 16, 1935, in York Township, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Irene (Kuhn) Mathias. She married Paul Flickinger on February 3, 1957. Paul preceded her in death on April 23, 2016. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Paul (Jean) Mathias, Lester Mathias, and Miles Mathias; along with two sisters, Rose Beitzel and Alma Casebeer.
Della was a member of Jerusalem Church in New Philadelphia. She enjoyed camping and was a member of Tusc Travelers, Roadrunners, and the Good Sam Club. She also loved square dancing and was a member of the Square Dance Club.
She leaves behind her three daughters; Nancy (Greg) Darrah of Canton, Brenda (Kevin) Kubiak of Willoughby, and Karen (Mike) Marlowe of New Philadelphia; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth and Gabrielle Darrah, Kelly and Lisa Kubiak, Hannah (Johnny) Incarnato, and Abraham (Sarah) and Daniel Marlowe; great-grandchildren, Lux, and Ivy Incarnato.
A funeral service will take place at Jerusalem Church in New Philadelphia on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at 11:30 am with Rev. Dr. Tom Hendershot officiating. Friends can call at the church on Wednesday from 10:30 am until the service starts at 11:30. Burial will follow at Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia.
