Deloris M. Reichman, 94, of Uhrichsville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Amberwood Manor in New Philadelphia, following a long period of declining health. Born June 23, 1928 in Sharon Valley near New Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Edith Mary (Phillips) and Delbert W. Reichman.

A 1946 graduate of Tuscarawas-Warwick High School, Deloris was a Tuscarawas County resident throughout her life. She was a longtime member of Uhrichsville First United Methodist Church, a former member of the Star Promenaders Square Dance Club, and a lifelong Cleveland Indians fan. She was employed by Tschudy’s Chicken Farm for 20 years and had also worked as a home healthcare aid for a number of years. She will be lovingly remembered for her amazing crocheting, having donated over 1200 handmade lap robes to people in need throughout the area, as well as countless scarves to the Tuscarawas County Scarf Project.

Deloris is survived by her sisters, Joann Woods, Ferne Kinsey, Norma Pittis, and Shirley (Ronald) Small, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Pisony; brothers-in-law, Albert Pisony, Alan Woods, and Ken Kinsey; four nieces and a nephew; and longtime dear friend and the love of her life, Ross Miller.

According to Deloris’ wishes, cremation is planned without a public visitation. She will be interred in Gnadenhutten-Clay Union Cemetery in Gnadenhutten. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Uhrichsville First United Methodist Church.
