The suspect in a voyeurism and child pornography case out of Dennison is heading to prison.
Danny Quillin will spend the next 4 to 6 years behind bars for secretly recording minors in a state of undress with a cell phone he hid inside a bathroom.
Tuscarawas county common pleas court judge Michael Ernest handed down the jointly recommended punishment on Tuesday and ordered Quillen to begin serving immediately.
Quillen was indicted on 10 counts that he ultimately pleaded guilty to, including pandering obscenity and illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material.
The prison term will be followed by a mandatory five years of post-release control and comes with a 25-year Tier 2 sex offender designation, with in-person verification every 180 days.
The crimes occurred over about three years and involved four juvenile victims. One spoke at Quillen’s sentencing about the psychological toll, and the other three provided written statements to the court.
