Mary Alice Reporting – An annual event returns to the Village of Dennison for the next four days.
The Dennison Railroad Festival brings in vendors, entertainment, and rides for the enjoyment of any resident.
The midway opens today at 5 pm with the first happenings being the queen contest on the Gazebo Stage at 5:30 pm, followed by the Park Christian Church Worship Team, and then, at the Railcar Stage, at 7 pm, will be Acoustified.
On Thursday, the midway opens at 4pm and festival members remind anyone attending and looking to enjoy the rides, that the company dictates the ticket and wristband prices.
The fun continues Friday when the midway opens at 4pm and events for that evening include registration for the Kiddie Peddle Pulls at 5pm and two musical talents take both stages, at 7pm, featuring a Johnny Cash Tribute and System Rewind.
Saturday the midway opens earlier, at noon, but a 5 mile run kicks off at 9am at the Information Booth. A car show will be available at noon, across from the Gazebo Stage, and for the kids, a free petting zoo will be open at 4pm.
