Denny Lee Durben, 78 of Newcomerstown, passed away on April 5, 2025 at Mercy Hospital.

Denny was born September 10, 1946, in Guernsey, Ohio to the late Vernon and Kathleen (Nay) Durben. He honorably served in the United States Army. He attended First Baptist Church in Newcomerstown. Denny was a Christian and believed that getting saved is the only way to get into heaven. He enjoyed sports, especially golf, bowling, and basketball. He spent a lot of time on the golf course and was very close with his golfing buddies. He loved spending time outdoors, and was an excellent mushroom hunter. Denny loved supporting his grandkids at their sporting events, and no event was too far away for him. He also always liked to help people, and would make friends for life.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-eight years Karen (Burrier) Durben; his daughter Angela (Curtis) Goehring; his grandchildren who were the love of his life, Lindsey, Lauren, Ellie, and Evan; his siblings Robert (Diane) Durben, Deanna Barlow, and Cindy Roe; and many other family and friends.

Denny was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Gary Durben; and his in-laws.

A private graveside service was held at West Lawn Cemetery.
